Falling in Love and You (Genesis 29)

Jacob apparently falls in love with Rachel at first sight and even kisses her in their first meeting.  He is overwhelmed with joy that she is in the family and will definitely be a wife that his parents will approve of.  Jacob worked for seven years and it seemed more like a few days, he was so filled with love and joy that Rachel would be his.  

Most of us are blessed with the wonderful experience of falling in love, but rarely does the course of true love run smoothly.  Jacob was tricked into marrying Rachel's sister, Leah, which was devastating for him and sad for Leah, who was in a loveless marriage.

Love and marriage are a part of God's best for us, but it comes with a lot of bumps in the road.
