Acting out of Fear and You (Genesis 26)

Isaac followed in his father Abraham's footsteps in that he had a wife who was incredibly beautiful and he pretended his wife was his sister in order to keep from getting killed.  The point for today's truth, however, is that we should never act in fear.  We should always pray and follow the leading of God; that way, no matter how difficult things get, we can remain steady and calm, knowing we're on the correct path and God is with us.

God told Isaac in verse 24:  
Do not be afraid, for I am with you."  

When we trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we, too, are assured that God is with us; and we have nothing to fear.
