Share The Care: Supporting the Family Care Giver

Join us Thursday March 8, 2018 at 7PM EST for a very special night as we discuss the difficult and Rewarding topic of Care giving. This show is for anyone who is responsible for the care of adult children, elderly parents, children with special needs. We will have a Heart-to-Heart discussion with Ms. Mary Ellen Philbin, Chief Executive Officer of Share the Care Inc. 

 This show is for anyone, young, old, new or seasoned to providing for the Care of a loved one. 

 Mary Ellen Philbin has served as Chief Executive Officer of Share the Care, Inc., a non-profit agency that provides services and support to family caregivers, since it was incorporated in 2002. Prior to that, she was the Program Director for Community Based Long Term Care at STC’s parent agency, the Christian Service Center for Central Florida.

 Share the Care serves over 1400 families in Central Florida each year and is the largest agency of its type in Florida.  It is the provider agency for Older American’s Act Title III E, National Family Caregiver Support Program, Florida’s Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative (ADI) Respite Program, is a vendor to the four area managed care entities under the Medicaid LTC Program, and operates a robust fee-for-service program.

 Under Mrs. Philbin’s leadership Share the Care has received a variety of National grants and honors.  In 2009, STC was chosen as one of 14 organizations funded nationwide by the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation’s Innovative Programs for Family Caregivers Initiative.
