Dennis Lord, Public Affairs with Southern California Gas

Our Guest this Friday is Dennis Lord. Dennis is the Public Affairs Manager with the Southern California Gas Company. 

We’ll be discussing how to avoid and deal with gas leaks and how a major disaster could affect basic utilities. 

Mr. Lord, born in San Pedro and raised in Wilmington, has 46 years’ experience with SoCalGas beginning with distribution pipeline installation and repair, construction planning, cathodic protection system maintenance, and industrial meter and regulator repair activities in the L.A. Harbor area. 

Today, he handles governmental affairs for 22 cities and communities in southern LA County and is the external affairs emergency response lead in the western LA Basin area.  

He holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
