AES PowerPlant: Pro or Con ? Get the Facts Redondo Beach !

Our guests this morning are Bill Brand and Lezlie Campeggi.

Bill grew up in the South Bay, attended Cal State Long Beach, received his MBA from USC and currently works for American Airlines as a Crew Chief.

He is also the District 2 Council Member for City of Redondo Beach.

Bill opposes the AES plan to build a new power plant here in Redondo Beach and has co-authored a citizen initiative that will phase out industrial uses on the AES power plant site and rezone the land for a mix of commercial, institutional, recreational and open space uses.

Our additional panel member this morning is Lezlie Campeggi.

Lezlie is a concerned Redondo Beach mom and community activist.

She’s opposed to the new plant and has been working with nopowerplant.com on the signature drive currently underway.

So, today we’re going to hear from the anti-power plant contingent and next week we’ll be speaking with proponents for the new plant.
