Don Koeberle, Owner, The Catalina Cooking Store

Today Jackie and I interview Don Koeberle, Owner, The Catalina Cooking Store A longtime South Bay resident, Don began his working life in 1990 as an ad agency copywriter, creating national television, print and radio commercials for a wide range of companies such as Lexus, Direct TV, Toyota, Nissan and Nestlé.

Over the years he became an avid home chef, and soon saw the need for locally owned cooking store geared towards serious home chefs like himself. In 2011, he decided to make the leap into becoming a retail store owner, and leased the space at 1915 S. Catalina Ave in the Riviera Village.

After remodeling the storefront and a few self-taught lessons in the ins and outs of running a small business, he opened The Catalina Cooking Store on March 1st, 2012. Don currently lives in Rolling Hills with his family- his wife Lianne and his three children, Chris, Andrew and Kate.
