Becky joined the SARA staff in October 2012. She worked previously in this field with the YWCA Women’s Advocacy Program in Richmond and with Virginians Aligned Against Sexual Assault, which was then the state-wide coalition of sexual assault crisis centers. She also worked as the Executive Director for the Charlottesville Free Clinic and the Community Children’s Dental Center. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in education from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Taylor joined the team in August, 2013 as a weekend Emergency Room Advocate. As Crisis Services Coordinator, she manages the S.A.R.A 24/7 hotline and the hotline volunteer program.  Taylor began her involvement in the field at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC where she led campus-wide sexual assault awareness and advocacy efforts. As a Sociology major, her work led her to an internship at a community center for Latin American refugees in London and to an internship in Papua New Guinea. She has also been extensively involved in humanitarian aid and advocacy on the U.S./Mexico border.
