Products adulterated with unsavory and poisonous substances are all around us: silicone in chicken nuggets and Bt toxin in taco shells, for example. Obviously, what we eat is important to good health. Not so obvious is that what we put onto our bodies can be just as important as what we put into our bodies. Petrochemical and GMO products are absorbed through the skin, where they can produce adverse effects.
