Thousands of protesters who blame the financial industry for the economic crisis and high unemployment descended on the Financial District yesterday to blast the bankers on their home turf -- but Wall Street workers were quick to bite right back. Furious over the federal bailout of big-money banks, hordes of union members stormed the nation's financial hub to protest what they say was the favorable treatment investment banks received as the economy swooned, as well as to pressure the Obama administration in its effort to reform the industry.
