Rodney Flowers is author of the life-affirming and highly-inspiring book, Get Up!, I Can't, I Will, I Did...Here's How! He is also a co-author of the Amazon bestseller, Unwavering Strength, Volume 2, which is a moving collection of stories by 35 gifted authors. Each story demonstrates that while adversities may be inevitable, overcoming them always leads to the same outcome: growth, healing, and transformation. bIn addition to his writing, After a traumatic high-school football injury in 1993, Rodney was bound to the confines of his wheelchair. Although he was told his prognosis for recovery was unlikely, Rodney knew he would turn things around, make an impact on the world, and walk again. 
With self-determination and a faith in his ability to persevere, Rodney graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration. To further his education he earned a Professional Masters in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology. 
Today, Rodney has contributed more than 14 years of his life to governmental service with the Department of Defense (DoD) United States NAVY (USN). He works for NAVAIR at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station as a Contracting Officer. There he leads a team of seven to 10 contract specialists responsible for executing and managing contract performance of all sustainment contracting actions for the P-3C Orion program, and the P-8A program. Rodney Flowers resides in Maryland, where he has also created a business that helps people overcome challenges and obstacles, so they can live joyfully with purpose and realize their dreams.
