The local lawmaking body has proposed a bill to replace suspensions with Restorative Justice practices in D.C. Public Schools. Restorative Justice in the classroom has picked up a lot of momentum as possible solution to ending the School-to-Prison Pipeline. However, not everyone affiliated with the leadership of the district is in favor of this bill.
