Jesse Belvin was one of the greatest voices in Doo-Wop. He is responsible for Doo Wop classics as: "Earth Angel","Goodnight My Love", "When Did You Leave Heaven", "Guess Who". On February 6, 1960, at the age of 27, shortly after finishing a performance in Little Rock, AR, on a bill with Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, and Marv Johnson, Belvin and his wife were killed in a head-on auto collision.
