    Collette

Collette is an R&B singer whose silky voice breezes over hard hitting beats...somtimes a gentile wind, at other times a hurricane of South Carolina Soul.

Collette's debut album "Experience Collette", features a sweet blend of Southern hip-hop and soul. The artist wrote the entire album and even produced four of the tracks.

Collette began as a pianist and saxophonist in early childhood, and wandered into singing as a teen. After spending four years in college at Howard University, singing and soaking ujp the raw energy of Washington D.C.'s Go-Go music scene, Collette was finally ready to expose the world to her unique brand of storytelling.

"Experience Collette" is not just an album title, but a directive to enjoy a soulful, hip-hop infused, jazz and gospel-inspired ride, touching on topics from Southern-style "cruising" to a grown-up crush and merry-go round love. Collette makes sure listeners leave on a positive note, remembering to "Dance in the Rain".

Positive vibes reign throughout most of the disc, with a dose of self-awareness, all strung together by the artist's knack for storytelling. Collette's sweet alto flows effortlessly between the styles she has chosen and leaves the listener humming and looking for more. If we're lucky, this isn't the last time we'll "Experience Collette."

Music lovers are thirsty for a sweet new take on soul music, and Collette is tall glass of what they need. Well, not literally.

At 5 feet 10 inches tall, this statuesque beauty grows thoughtful when asked about her goals for the CD. "Well I want people to listen, enjoy, and find in it something real to identify with. I want folks to have an out-of-the-ordinary good time, and just "Experience Collette".

    Blues Vocalist Alabama Mike

Alabama Mike is a hard-driving Chicago style blues singer with the ability to make you feel as if you’ve revisited the early CHESS RECORDS days. Many things come to mind upon hearing Alabama Mike sing for the first time, but mostly it’s where has this guy been? With a soulful voice that brings such greats as Elmore James, Buddy Guy, Little Johnny Taylor and yes, even BB King to mind, you will be asking yourself, “Why haven’t I seen or heard of him before.”

Alabama Mike is a very unique talent, not only a gifted singer but also a very talented song writer, having penned over half of the tunes on this impressive debut.

Born in Talladega, Alabama, in 1964, “Alabama” was influenced by the Gospel singing of his father at an early age, as well as his love for Chicago Blues. Alabama Mike is embarking upon a bright future. He is an artist that anybody that has any interest in the Blues will soon notice.

Mo Pleasure - Michael Jackson Band Member

The Louie Jones Show family member, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Morris "Mo" Pleasure makes a return visit to show. Mo was a member of Michael Jackson's band that had been rehearsing with Michael for the "This Is It!" comeback tour, just hours before his untimely passing. Mo, along with the other band members, backup singers and dancers were the musicians and singers for the memorial service.

Mo was personally and musically transformed by his time in rehearsal for Jackson's 50 concert residency at London's O2 Arena that was slated to begin July 16.

In addition to his second keyboards duties, Mo was also playing guitar as well as a trumpet solo in the show. The grueling six day a week rehearsal schedule brought forth a tight unit. In the words of Mo, "We were playing those tracks in the pocket. The goal on any major pop gig is to be as faithful as possible to the original tracks that fans fell in love with. And we were there."

Mo, began his professional career playing with another legend, Ray Charles. He also played for Janet Jackson on her "All For You" tour. He is one of only 3 people to have played with both Janet and Michael. He thought so much of the opportunity to play with the King of Pop that he delayed completion on his forthcoming solo release immediately to join the already in progress rehearsals in Los Angeles in early May. Michael had been practicing with the band just 12 hours prior to his transition.
