The city of Philadelphia had a great reputation for producing fighter.  Boxing camp around the world would send their fighter to Philly to train.  Some called Philadelphia the Boxing Capital.  It was said that you could get a good sparing match on any street corner. 

What was the economic impact for the city during those times
