Jesus Alone: What Was Done by the One We Call Our Savior and Risen Lord?

We have many names for Jesus, but this week, "Passover Week," ending for Christians with Resurrection Sunday, we think upon the name of Savior and RISEN Lord. Savior is someone who saves. Lord is someone who reigns. The Scripture says that Jesus Christ is the "lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world" and our Passover Lamb (we'll look at this). When Jesus went to the cross as the Lamb of God, slaughtered before men, He became the Savior of all men, redeeming all who would believe upon His name- the plan from the beginning. When He rose from the dead, He claimed lordship of a kingdom of the hearts of men, through the full demonstration of His power, power that can be made real in our lives as servants in His kingdom through the Holy Spirit.

Let us hasten to His throne to claim our redemption and find help and mercy in our time of need, accepting the forgiveness of sins thanks to what He did on that cross! Blessed Redeemer!!!
