Love is strong and it strengthens because Love Is Real. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is Love! 1 Corinthians 13:13 + LENT + The Season of Preparation For The Resurrection of Jesus 2016. Lent is a period of time between Ash Wednesday and Easter that is focused towards spiritual purification, meditation and penance. The reason Lent is 40 days is because 40 is a significant number in Christian scriptures, but the most notable is perhaps that Jesus spent 40 days fasting in the desert in preparation for his ministry. Lent in 2016 will start on Wednesday, the 10th of February and will continue until Thursday, the 24th of March.
