This week marks the last LIVE episode of Social Media Hour for 2010. Through December we'll be running repeats of top shows from the last year. For our last fresh episode of the year, Cathy will be tackling a topic that has arisen on the show several times, and this time we'll be taking a slightly different tack. The topic - women and the experiences (not always good) in rising through business and especially in the technology realm. For the record, this is NOT another rant or "woe are we, why oh why do women face discrimination" discussion. Instead today we're going to take some nasty parts head on (like sexism) and talk about ways to combat it. We're going to talk about what we can do to foster more support and encourage young women to step forward. We're going to look at some statistics and see if we can make some sense of it. Joining Cathy for this conversation will be entrepreneur and serious geek Maya Bisineer; and producer animator (and lover of buttered popcorn) Kate Ertman.
