Festivals of myriad sort snare much of this week's episode with two segments exploring the infiltration and impact of social technologies in two very different places - the Beltway and LGBT film. Entrepreneurs and event organizers Jen Consalvo and Frank Gruber of Shiny Heart Ventures talk about Digital Capital Week - nine days of digital focus on government, non-profit and start-ups. Next filmmaker Jd Disalvatore talks about the way in which things like Facebook and Twitter are changing how she makes films and will discuss that specifically in regards to the films she has showing at San Francisco's Frameline Festival this week. Keeping an ear on this entire discussion and then jumping in for the second half of the program, UK Journalist Jamillah Knowles of the BBC. She'll be talking about the impact of social technology and user-generated content on her work, how it's changed the nature of her job and where she sees things going from here. And, as always, we'll take your comments and questions from the chat room and by phone.
