Despite a decline in Syphilis nationwide, Houston's department of Health and Human services reported a near doubling of the number of new infectious syphilis cases during the 1st 8 months of 2012 as compared to the 1st 8 months of 2011.

There was a rise in HIV in Fairbanks, Alaska as well.  Among other factors, Social media, used to arrange meetings for sex, has been named as a contributor in both outbreaks.  What does this mean to you? Let's discuss on RappMD Radio!
