"TJ Nicole, an Atlanta native, is a prolific author, visual artist, and spoken word poet. She is passionate about poetry and the ability to capture audiences with her gift of story-telling. She is the author of The Rebirth: A Woman's Poetry (2012), a collection of poems that celebrate the beautiful spirit and sisterhood of women. She also released the album, Painted Verses (2013), a true testament of the ever-evolving nature of true art. She is known for her authenticity, compassion, and peace-filled demeanor; her words embody truth,light and love.

Tru King has always written poetry but burst onto the Atlanta poetry scene in 2012. He has been blazing mics ever since. Known for his high energy delivery of power-packed lyrics. TRU stands for tough, real, and unique. His words speak truth right to the hearts and soul of anyone within a earshot. His talent expands beyond poetry to music. Tru is an amazing acoustic guitarist which blends perfectly with spoken word. He released the album, Truth Be Told (2013), that showcases his original genre-- Acoustic Poetry.  He is also the creator and executive producer of an open Mic/showcase, House of Rhymez which launched explosively July 2013.  Tru King is known for his energy, passion, music, authenticity, originality,  enthusiasm, and spirituality.

TJ and Tru began a collaboration project after meeting in January 2013.  Their first performance at Urban Grind Thursday open mic March 2013 was well received. They have held a strong presence on the Atlanta poetry scene ever since.The smooth eloquence of TJ Nicole  and highly energetic musicality of Tru King together equals an awesome poetry duo, The Rogue Poets.  The name Rogue Poets stems from the belief you can battle against negative influences and societal pressures by embracing your unique nature and displaying your true essence with the world."
