Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy is the subject tonight. It is a painful, progressive and incurable neurological condition .

A nn is a 59 yr old  from Wilmington, DE, formerly a nurse for 34+ years specializing in long term care and Alzheimer patients, and an RSD/CRPS warrior for 5+ years. Ann was injured working as a visiting nurse in 2006 when she slipped and fell going into a patients building. Three knee surgeries  did nothing to alleviate her pain. She was diagnosed by Delaware doctors as needing a knee replacement or worse, she was in need of psychiatric care. All the while being denied by her employers Workers Compensation Insurance. She sought treatment in Pennsylvania, where she was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS. However doctors there wanted to implant a spinal cord stimulator.

Her husband, Wayne has been  persistent in getting Ann to doctors in PA. A family friend suggested that Ann go to the University of Pa to seek help. He has remained by her side through all the visits, treatments and staggering medical bills. The medical bills have taken an enormous toll on Ann and Wayne.

Through it all, Wayne has attempted to help gain recognition for RSD/CRPS sufferers. He has worked with Jim Broatch of RSDSA.ORG on a fund-raising endeavor and is attempting to get a celebrity endorsement for the organization.
