She discusses the challenges of being a black mom in today's society and what it takes for black women to make sure their children have the same opportunities to be successful as other children.  With issues such as police brutality, the school to prison pipeline, high rates of single motherhood, increased rates of poverty--black moms sure have their work ahead of them compared to other mothers.
