The Buzz...'Tis the season to be jolly but with so much going on in the WORLD and in our economy is it a good time for you? I see it as a time to give but is everything tied to a monetary $$. Why aren't wishes enough? Can u send someone a note that says my wish is that you get a job and have good health and that be enough? Isn't that what a regular Christmas card is for? Even those have become impersonal and electronic. Has technology killed the wish aka emotional tie that we used to look forward to? The Sting...Seasons greetings. Everybody knows that folks are more sentimental around this time of year. Folks break their necks to buy big ticket items starting Black Friday and the spending doesn't stop til the weekend after Christmas.. There's nothing wrong with that and besides the season being about a Christian holiday to celebrate the acknowledgment of the birth of Jesus, what about the fact that folks are mainly NICE around this time of year? is it because they are hoping for something special from Santa for being nice? Is everybody buying into the holiday because of the public? Some folks say it is their favorite of the year. Why? Are they still nice other times? idk nor can I tell you if it's important.. The Healing... This time of year brings about sadness in remembrance of ones we lost be it a partner or family member or a job. It also let's us know that guess what? I'm not going to pay my bills because it's Christmas. What's the big deal with Christmas? Does it cause you to be depressed? Does it cause you to be happier than other times of year? What do you do to get into the spirit? Is it just for the kids and the gifts? What's your favorite memory and how old were you? Maybe this holiday is for all of us after all. I met a Hindu woman at the mall who celebrates and she says "I'm not Christian but we celebrate". isn't that great?
