WWHD?... and other Holiday Cheer

The Buzz... What would Hiyawatha do? Would she celebrate Thanksgiving all over again? Did she in the first place, I have no clue.. LOL. Is it a day we should be celebrating knowing all that we know now? Isn't it funny how things are acceptable one day and not the next? Remember when Christmas was Christmas before it changed to Xmas then Holiday now back to Christmas? Folks are getting outraged about the need to be Politically Correct - in certain instances. The Sting...A few years back, folks began to get excited about Kwanzaa and Christmas and Hannukah. Hallmark even termed it Happy ChristmaHannuKwanzaa and made zillions on stuff. Then we rebelled and turned again saying what we should be able to celebrate or not and somehow it was blamed on Muslims. Idk how but yet, it was their fault in the end. Nowadays folks say "I don't wanna celebrate Thanksgiving when the Indians were tricked" The Healing... Every few years Americans are outraged with something but we always find a way around it.. A way to reason with bringing something back into the celebratory fold. Christmas is back complete with tree and decorations and sales circulars that sell trees. However when the economy is bad, kids who are used to getting toys have to forcefully reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season so you don't need toys this year. Folks are told Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for family and friends and that the Indian incident should not be referenced, it's old news. Are reasons and justifications just as seasonal as the holidays? Big money, little money, depression no depression, great time in the US or downtimes? Is this a geniune backlash against being PC? Taking America back?
