He began with Korean karate (Taekwondo), with Johnny Lee, a future opponent for Ross Scott. As a competitor, Eddy weighted 235 pounds (107 kg) for 6 feet, or 183 cm. For these reasons, he received the nickname "Monster Man".
Considered one of the great fighters of all times.
