Many parents feel that the high school coach will guide a high school athlete through the college recruiting process. Keep in mind that most high school coaches are full-time teachers and to devote full-time to the recruiting process is not going to be easy. Still, there are high school coaches who do a great job but the job is time consuming and therefore the effort may not always be there.
