The best way to handle bullying was explained to Lon by Jeanie Cisco-Meth on a pre-recorded interview January 14, 2015.  Cisco-Meth had been a teacher working with adolescents for many years in Utah and is developing a business based on her observations as a teacher, now providing seminars and training sessions throughout the country as well as online.  She also is an author, writing “Bully Proofing You: Improving Confidence And Personal Value From The Inside Out” available on amazon.com.  In this interview she explains that the most common way of handling bullying is to punish the perpetrator, which does not work.  She then explains that the heart of the solution is to help build confidence which over time  inoculates the person from a lasting negative impact from the bullying.  She ends the interview by offering a free e-book to listeners to this interview who contact her directly asking for a copy.
