In our first, pre-launch episode, we talk about productive ways to sustain the racial-profiling consciousness movement that has emerged around the Feb. 26 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fl. At issue is how to navigate the racial tensions--on all sides--and reach clear, attainable goals that improve conditions for young, black males in America.

Also on the table: Do you think the Supreme Court will vote that the mandate for all Americans to have health insurance is unconstitutional? If so, what do you think will happen?

And, what makes a person "black?" African blood? Culture? Can you have black blood and not be black? Going further, what is race and why does it matter so much in this world?

Again, this is a dry-run and we do anticipate some technical issues to work out. Our soft launch is 7 to 9 a.m.Friday, April 6, and we will cover these same topics at that time. Our on-location premiere is 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., May 11, at the upscale African-American owned Landon's Restaurant Cascade.

After April 6, we will air every Friday in Atlanta and Houston from 9 to 11 a.m. Our website is www.thejanitapoeshow and our call-in number at 1-855-POE-SHOW (1-855-763-7469).

We look forward to hearing from you!
