The 89-year-old mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger, serving a prison sentence for murdering 11 people, was inexplicably moved to the general population of the Hazelton Federal Penitentiary this week. Within 24 hours of his arrival, he was savagely beaten to death. He was beaten so badly he was unrecognizable, and accounts suggest that the murderers attempted to cut out his tongue – an act to send a very specific message to anyone thinking of talking. About what? About who?
