Tonight we welcome Dan McConnell (@DMaxMJ) and Mark Friedman (@mfriedman10), a couple of lowly teachers, like me.

We will discuss a bunch of stuff, including Professional Development (PD), sarcasm and other stuff.

Mark's bio: My name is Mark Friedman, great to meet you. I’ve taught social studies and worked in the Rochester City School District in Rochester, New York for close to six years. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in several after-school programs, strengthening relationships with families and students in the community.

Dan's bio: I live in rural central NY, and have been teaching for about thirteen years. My wife and three young girls mean everything to me, and I have been very worried about the path of education policy for the sake of my own children and those who don't have the resources to "choice" away from the path of destruction. It seems that everything counterproductive, the things that dehumanize our children and isolate people from each other, are the things being forced upon public schools. People are not numbers, and shouldn't be identified and defined by numbers. The good news is that the people have numbers on their side-if they are willing to fight the push and come together.
