How do you know if the person you hire to perform services for you have the skills and knowledge needed to complete the job?
Credentials are the modern day stamp of approval that tells us this person/company has had some minimal level of verified expertise. In this show we explore several ways a person became credentialed in the past. As we discuss, this is mostly through formal education channels.
Today's world is filled with many informal learning channels. How do we "verify" a person knows enough aobut what we need them to do to trust them? How does a self-directed learner demonstrate their knowledge and skill? Is it only through a portfolio of work completed? Is it thorugh a third party saying "ya done good"?
These are the questions learners and those hiring for specific skills need to answer. More recent technologies and platforms are beginning to answer these "Credibility" questions. Enjoy the show as you learn about what you need to do to verify your learning and how you can confirm the learning of others. Enjoy!
