Knowing self, learning how to learn and then discovering how to direct our own learning is the task before individuals seeking to become Self-Directed Learners. Self-Directed Learning is more than eating fish or learning to fish. It is to adjust to the changes in the environment in a way that promotes recognizing when fishing will no longer work and taking the actions required to change to a new arena of endeavor.
