The Miracle Of Doug Cathie

 About 2 months ago I decided to call a friend (George Cathie I know him as Doug) that I met on the internet a few years ago. He and I call each other from time to time to check up on each other and see how our families are doing. We also discuss business. Although we have never met in person ( he lives in New Jersey and I live in Ga.) we have grown to become very good friends. With the stresses of life we hadn't spoken since Feb although I had called him but got no answer.

Well,  when I called he was struggling to speak and he didn't recognize my voice at first. I assumed he had been asleep and I had disturbed him. To my surprise, he is in a rehabilitation center (I think he said CareOne in NJ). On March the 15th, my birthday, he was almost killed in a car crash. He lost control of his car and collided head on with another vehicle. He was in a coma for two weeks, punctured a lung, lost a hip and now he is trying to learn to walk again.

Although Doug has some assistance from the military, his wife is still having a hard time with the bills. I am planning to set up a campaign to help raise money to help his family. If you can find it in your heart, please donate whatever you can. At this point I'm not sure which funding platform to use, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. The money will go directly to his family to assist them. He is a proud man and did not ask for help but it's the least I can do.
