Earlier this week, in his Presidential Address to Congress, President Barack Obama encouraged community service and activism. He vowed that those who devote one year of volunteer services to their country would receive additional governmental support for college of professional development. In honor of this call to service and in an effort to ignite enthusiasm in the community, Clayton Ruley, Spokesperson, Prevention Point Philadelphia (PPP) and James Jones, Managing Director, Youth Action will help us shed light on the important issue of community service and activism in the African American community.
