Tune in for a special edition of That's Entertainment as I talk with actress, singer, and composer, Nattalyee Randall. Nattalyee has performed all over the U.S. in different venues, from the Legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem to the front of the National Mall in Washington DC. She has won various awards and been in numerous musicals such as Dreamgirls (Effie White), Hairspray (Dynamite Girl), RENT (Joanne), Avenue Q (Gary Coleman), The Technicolor Dreamcoat (The Narrator), and The Color Purple (Church Lady Jarene), just to name a few. She has received rave reviews for her performances by describing her sound as "soulful," "a voice that oozes with powerful emotion." Her performance in "Dream Girls" could give Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson a run for your money. And now Nattalyee has returned to New York in a new original musical she has written and composed title "Miseducation The Musical." With musical influences ranging from Pasek and Paul and Lin Manuel Miranda, to Kendrick Lamar, Nattalyee has infused contemporary musical theater with slam poetry. "Miseducation" reminds us how the smallest actions can influence the lives of others. The show will make its debut on Sunday, Sept 11th at 9:30pm at The Duplex. Tune in to a special edition of That's Entertainment as I talk with Nattalyee Randall on Thursday, September 8th at 1pm ET on www.blogtalkradio.com/tammyjones-gibbs or call in to listen at 347-637-2656
