What do you do when you lose sight of who you are? Losing hope and faith in who we are...it's a scary place to be. Sometimes, it takes hitting rock-bottom before we can begin the process of coming back to life and rewriting our story.
Amy Baumgardner knows this all too well. She appeared on Oprah Winfrey's Life class with Iyanla Vanzant in a segment focused on "Overcoming Guilt", where she shared her two-year struggle with alcohol, her resulting crumbling marriage, and ultimately, crippling guilt after her drunk driving accident left her 5 year old daughter in critical condition. Since appearing on Oprah, she has spent much of her energy writing a book about her struggle and now 3+ year sobriety.
Amy makes her recovery, family and spirituality a priority and encourages others to do the same. She shares her story in the hope that it will inspire others to make the change that is necessary to living the life they always wanted to live.
I admire her courage, vulnerability, and willingness to share her darkest moments so she can awaken others to find their light. You will be so inspired by her!
