We face a New Year.  2018 has arrived,  whether we wanted it to or not.  Time marches on, as it has from the dawn of creation.  Lest you think this is naught but a facile tautological statement,  consider the truth of this,  no matter what the contorversy,  the pernicious influence of liberal, progressive, and Democrat-inspired identity politics, tribalism, marxism, and factionalism of all types, will only serve to make serious problems not only more resistant to chane,  but to ensure their continuance so that the left can continue to cling to power and influence.
