Runoko Rashidi says "history is a light that illuminates the past, and a key that unlocks the door to the future." At age 18, Runoko Rashidi, an African-American and Indigenous person, discovered the African within him and became an advocate for Pan-Afrikanism, traveling the world and documenting the ancient African diaspora in a quest now known as "The Global African Presence." Rashidi shares his vast knowledge during our dialogue and intrigues us with colorful descriptions of his most recent trips to France, Spain and Nigeria. His passion of searching the world for Africa has taken him to 99 countries (28 in Africa), and has earned him deep respect as a historian, researcher, lecturer, author and cultural detective. Enjoy this dynamic and provocative dialogue in our Indigenous Circle.
