Military Appreciation Day!Arlington Park is proud to pay tribute to the members and families representing the branches of the military. This is a moving tribute to the men and women that risk their lives for our freedom. Special ceremonies will be held to honor one of the nation’s largest gatherings of recipients of the Medal of Honor after the 6th race.

Other features of the day include a dramatic demonstration by the Black Daggers and the 101st Airborne Division's Screaming Eagles parachute team after the 3rd race.This special day will also feature an amazing National Anthem performance by the 85th Army Band after the 1st race, the Marine Air Control Group 48 Color Guard, as well as musical performances by renowned tenor Steve Amerson (the musical ambassador for the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation .We'll be honoring Gold Star Families in the Winners Circle in remembrance of loved ones and fallen soldiers. And as a thank you to all those who risk their lives for our freedom, current members of the Military as well as Veterans receive one complimentary General Admission when presenting a valid Military ID at either of the Park entrances.
