The Greater The Trial The Greater The Miracle

I have always wondered why the patriarch's and prophet's got the opportunity to walk and talk with God and see the manifestation of HIS awesome, miraculous, and wondrous works. As I pondered and mused upon this again today, I heard directly in my spirit...the greater the trials, the greater the miracles. From that whispered Word, I had an epiphany from the Holy Spirit. If I faced the fire, Jesus would show up in it with me as He did with the Hebrew boys. If I refused to withdraw my allegiance to God in the face of a ruling dynasty, I could lie down and nap with lions without becoming their lunch like Daniel, and like Abraham, if I was willing to step out on faith with no assurance of resources and leave everything that was known and comfortable to me to follow Christ to places unknown, I would be called the friend of God, or stand like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. against a racially, malignant country for the sake of the poor and the oppressed - even unto death, but get a glimpse of the promised land. It dawned on me that many of us have only been tried on the trifling and oftentimes, have not stood firm on these matters. What will we do when the rubber really hits the road? Ask of HIM to be tried like gold in the fire, because great trials produce great miracles!
