Don’t Mess With My High…Places

The Children of Israel had a hard time with idolatry. In need of a higher presence that was visible, they entered into the idolatrous practice of the heathen of erecting altars and groves for worship. They were having a high time in the high places. Due to their inability to serve the Lord God with all their heart, soul, and mind as they promised, they became a captive people under several heathen nations. Today God has called his people out of Babylon and into this marvelous light. However, many of us want to serve God and ourselves at the same time. Self-service, a high and mighty attitude is the new high place. It is “HIGH time that we awake out of our sleep,” look to our HIGH Priest, and admit that self-service - a high place, is modern idolatry.
