Good for nothing, is what the old folks used to say about someone who in their opinion, had out-breathed their worth and as trifling as this may sound in comparison, I had a good for nothing experience the other day with a ball point pen. I know you have had this happen to you. The pen appears to be full of ink. You write a few lines, and then like a car out of gas, the pen stops writing. The pen has become good for nothing. Perpetrating the fraud with visible ink that has dried up. Well, Jesus had one of those moments, which he transitioned into an object lesson/sermon. He called it, “When the salt has lost its savor.” Like salt without savor and a pen full of ink that refuses to write, it is thenceforth good for nothing - and you thought your grandmother had written that line! She may not be the author but she was right. Find out how DANGEROUS it is to be un-salty salt.
