In this generation of mass inspiration, conversations, sermons, and proclamations of favor, blessings, and financial restoration, "But if Not," is the last thing people want to hear, when in actuality it's the most important factor for receipt of the favor, blessings, and financial restoration. A friend once said to me, God will never put something in your hand, without first putting something in your heart. Oftentimes, I think we imagine God to be more interested in spoiling us, than saving us. The three Hebrew boys, underscore boys, not adults, understood that God was able to save them from the fire, the heat if you will. But they were willing to risk not being saved, to be obedient. The heat of financial woes, the heat of kid’s gone wild, the heat of singleness, and the heat of a failed marriage can turn into a real fiery furnace. What choice will you make if you are headed to the furnace and your only other option is to turn away? How to take the heat, and endure hardness like a good soldier.
