If your are a musician then the best thing that could probably happen to you is to get signed to a major deal right? Wrong! Today the music business is not all fun and games as it appears to be, as a matter of fact, some of your favorite artists may not even be worth as much as your boss. There is a lot of gray area in the contracts being signed by artists today which usually leave the artist with the short end of the deal. This is why  a lot of artists are taking the independent route and finding more success than they could have ever imagined by opting for what some might say is the more difficult road.
