Environmental Stories

We live by certain stories that make it inevitable that we will continue to destroy our environment and with it our food supply and the civilization that makes life worth living. These stories and myths suggest that while we are in and on our planet we are not of it. They demand that we believe that our essential selves (souls in religious terms) not only are not part of our home planet but will continue to exist after our bodies and physical environments cease to exist. Moreover, it is our right and duty to master our "Mother Earth," bring her to heel and make her serve our every earthly need. These stories are part of the myth of the male warrior who controls their female supplicants.  Only by changing these top down stories can we lovingly preserve our world
