Those who think starting an Internet business requires investing thousands of dollars in seminars, site and graphic design, advertising, etc. are absolutely on the wrong path. In fact, I will go as far to say that anyone attempting to build a home Internet business who first invests any significant money will more than likely never enjoy success before quitting the venture entirely. This is the part I like best about building an online business at home; great success is possible with very little investment at all. By “very little”, I do mean VERY little. My wife and I began our home business with a hosting account that cost just a few dollars per month, a ten dollar Internet domain name, and a case of products (we were already using in our home anyway) which cost $200. That was it! I learned everything I needed to know about building an Internet business by reading things on the Internet and participating in several online forums. I taught myself how to make web pages and studied a lot about how to optimize. Our home business began making money and we reinvested all the profits into more and more products for the site.
