Innovative Programming for Juveniles: Lighthouse Youth Servi

A wide array of programs are necessary to meet the individualized treatment needs of delinquent youth and help reduce over incarceration of juveniles. Lighthouse Youth Services (LYS) is a multi- service agency operating 19 different programs and a charter school in southeastern Ohio all dedicated to improving the lives of youth. This show will highlight three of LYS’s programs, including a juvenile corrections facility a juvenile corrections facility that provides extensive cognitive behavioral intervention targeting criminogenic risk factors, a community management program that is an intensive outpatient program for the treatment and supervision of low to moderate risk sex offenders, and a counseling services program, providing structured aftercare services for youth returning back to their community after being in the juvenile corrections facility.
