MARK PALOS has been the host and SlamMaster of the Slam Free or Die reading since 2006. He performed at the National Poetry Slam with the 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013 NH teams. He has been coaching the team every year since 2008; with the team reaching the semi-finals and achieving a ranking of 14th overall in 2013. He released his first book "What's In The Box?" in 2008. He has performed his work on stages, in classrooms, bar rooms, backrooms, living rooms, cafes, bedrooms, backseats, basements, sub-basements, on mountaintops, rooftops, front stoops, fire escapes, street corners, sidewalks, and in back alleys all over New England and beyond. He is working on a new book and continues to host the weekly Slam Free or Die reading every Thursday night at Milly's Tavern in Manchester, which was voted ‘Best Poetry Performance Venue in the World’ in an online poll run by Write Bloody Publishing in 2013.
