SPACESHIP EARTH 2012: Planetary Collective, a group of filmmakers givng us and OVERVIEW of things learned from space exploration, challenge us to -- LOOK DEEPER.

Explore some of the big questions facing our planet at this time. 

Forty years ago, on December 7, 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts sent back the first "blue marble" photos of planet Earth, giving us a view of our spaceship as we spin in space. That was a call for us to see the big picture: we are all on this spaceship together. 

We are on a small planet orbiting one of 100+ billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Our Sun is in orbit around the center of the Milky Way galaxy.  

What can we learn by taking a long, big picture view of who we are as space travelers -- passengers on spaceship Earth?
