Laura Rice, "Music really began to change for me when I enlisted in the Marine Corps.  Those thirteen weeks in boot camp challenged my mind, body and spirit. I sang to myself during long hikes and proudly sang cadence for my sister Marines whenever allowed.  At one point my drill instructors asked me “why are you here?  Why aren’t you singing?”  I never thought of music as any thing more than a dream.

I was blessed to join “TypeCast,” a Hampton Roads based band. My experience re-ignited my passion and vigor for music once more.

I am finally getting a chance to live my dream... working on my solo career. I recently signed with Heart Songs Records and am a Veteran Ambassador for Heart Songs for Veterans.  I am the co-host for Project Lips Radio show and love hanging out with my co-hosts Jill Pavel, Mickie James, Shaniah Paige and Kenna Hunter each week showcasing other artists and worthy Veteran Causes.  lauraricemusic.com  facebook.com/projectlips  projectlips.com
